Storm Tryouts

Registration for STORM SPRING TRYOUTS re-opened on March 25 for our U13 and U15 Tier 1 and Tier 2, & U18 Tier 1, 2 and 3 Spring Tryouts.

**If you registered earlier in March, you do not need to re-register.

► The following competitive teams are projected for the upcoming 2025-26 season:

U9- B/C (FALL Tryouts)
U11- BB/B & C (FALL Tryouts)
U13- Tier 1 BB/B and Tier 2 C (Spring Tryouts)
U15- Tier 1 A/BB and Tier 2 B/C (Spring Tryouts)
U18- Tier 1 A, Tier 2 BB, Tier 3 B (Spring Tryouts), Tier 4 C (August Tryouts)

► The level of play, number of players on a roster and/or number of teams is subject to change depending on overall numbers of players registered and outcomes of tryouts.

► We are excited to announce the first wave of selected coaches for the upcoming 2025/26 hockey season. After careful consideration, the following individuals have been chosen to lead our Tier 1 competitive teams:

Warren Holmes – U18A
Steve Graham – U15A
Matt Saunders – U13BB/B

We look forward to the leadership, dedication, and experience these coaches will bring to their respective teams!

Remaining Competitive Coach Selections

Additional competitive coach selections for other divisions will be announced at a later date.

We thank all applicants for their interest and commitment to the Storm Girls Hockey program and are excited for what lies ahead in the upcoming season!

► Players must attend a tryout session to be considered eligible for a competitive team. We do encourage players to attend all sessions.

► Players who were not successful in higher Tier tryouts must register separately and pay for additional tryouts.

► Tryout Cost:

$150 - Tier 1 U13, U15 and U18 Competitive Tryouts
$100 - Tier 2 U13, U15, U18 Competitive Tryouts
$80 - Tier 3 & 4 U18 Competitive Tryouts
$60 - U9, U11 and Senior Tryouts

There are no refunds for tryouts. DO NOT pay for more than one tryout until that tryout is complete.

Specific Tryout Dates and times will be sent to registered participants by the convenor.

Other paperwork:

If your player wishes to try out elsewhere- please request an OWHA Permission to Tryout form from either the Vice President, Storm (VPstorm@kemptvillehockey.com) or Storm Registrar (stormregistrar@kemptvillehockey.com) at least 72hrs in advance of the first tryout.
Any players that did not play with Kemptville Storm last season but have played with an Ontario Women’s Hockey Association team previously, you must provide a Permission to Tryout form signed by your previous OWHA association, or have been released from your last registered OWHA association.

Next Steps Following Tryouts:

If your player is successful in being placed on a Storm Competitive team, a non-refundable $200 deposit towards season registration costs is payable to KDMHA within 48hrs.

Registration for the season and registration fees will be posted on the Registration Tab for the 2025/26 Season
Season registration must be paid in full by July 31, or a $150 late payment fee will be applied.
An additional registration cost for competitive players will be posted with registration fees.
