The level of play, number of players on a roster and/or number of teams is subject to change depending on overall numbers of players registered and outcomes of tryouts.
-
Players must attend a tryout session to be considered eligible for a competitive team. We do encourage players to attend all sessions.
-
Players who are not successful in higher Tier tryouts must register separately and pay for additional tryouts.
Other paperwork:
-
If your Storm player wishes to try out elsewhere- please request an OWHA Permission to Tryout form or player release using this KDMHA request form at least 72hrs in advance of the first tryout.
- As set out in KDMHA's rules and regulations, we will not issue permission to tryout for Storm players that wish to tryout elsewhere at levels that Kemptville intends to offer. Players can instead be released if they wish to go elsewhere.
-
Any players that did not play with Kemptville Storm last season but have played with an Ontario Women’s Hockey Association team previously, you must provide a Permission to Tryout form signed by your previous OWHA association, or have been released from your last registered OWHA association.
-
Please note that an “import” player is defined for Storm as a player who was registered with another association (not with KDMHA) under OWHA or HEO for the previous season. Released players within OWHA will be considered imports once released from Storm.
-
In the absence of player boundaries, Kemptville Storm will permit a maximum of 3 import players per team for Tier 1 competitive divisions. In order to be considered at tryouts, import players must place in the top 3 for their position (forward or defense) or be the top goalie. No imports will be permitted for other Tiers of competitive teams or house teams.
